Systems that employ more elements than necessary for functional reasons focused on increased reliability, there are developed techniques and software tools for the design of products and their visualization on the plane (2D) or in space (3D), quality control, process planning, computer-aided design, quality, planning, engineering, logistics. These systems provides information necessary for the geometric description of a new product.
Appropriate data structures, information, a common data model and information allow to integrate partial solutions. The flow of information must also take place in the opposite direction so that the acquired knowledge can be checked and verified to correct and update process.
The control system should be closed, short and fast as soon as possible to be able to identify and make corrections of errors.
The aim is also that the amount of information needed to ensure proper quality of the new product is appropriate, namely, at the level which it can be managed and used in an appropriate manner. During the design and development a new product the knowledge should be used and make decisions that are designed to minimize structural defects of the new product and the time intervals between onset and errors diagnosis.
The content of the information stream (organizational and marketing) is to support new product development process and adjust the dimensions of the new product to the needs, expectations and preferences of customers, and suppliers, intermediaries and other entities from marketing environment of the company. At the simultaneous development of many new product concepts there rises expenses on logistics, communication and marketing, as encoded data on different media data must be processed each time anew. Therefore, in the phases of design and prototype development the number of new product concepts ought to be limited to the minimum.
Computer Integrated Development, Manufacturing and Marketing (CIDMM) enables the flow of information in the shortest possible time to customers who make decisions on this basis.
The CIDMM concept introduces the principle of grouping information and its systematic circulation especially for analytical purposes. Integration is possible provided that the introduction of standards for data exchange between applications.
It should be emphasized that the implementation of modern methods of PRNP can be real only when using the concept of CIM or CIDMM and enables a significant increase in the efficiency of new product development process.
They facilitate rapid diagnosis of marketing problems that may arise in the process of new product development and flexible search of the action course. They allow simultaneous work of many people in the team. They can also be used to predict certain behaviors and reactions of consumers in situations where relationships between variables are logical. Comprehensive use of techniques and tools in the CIDMM system requires a complete analysis of conventional information linkages between the particular information entities in PNPD .
These links can be easily observed in all phases of product development, from the pre-design phase (Fuzzy Front-End Activities).
In the design phase, and prototyping the design team should implement to the CAD system record of the new product features relevant from the point of recipient’s view. Then this record can be used in the control phase and qualitative analysis of the product, implemented by using software such as CAQ.
The conclusions of the inspection and analysis of the new product quality should be added to the CAD system. The impact on the new problems structure identified in the design phase of treatment technological process can be use CAP system (Computer Aided Planning). Programs that control devices and technological machines at the CAM level are the recipient of information from the CAP (Computer Aided Planning), but also can be a source of information for other systems.
This information allows to streamline the technology and optimize control programs, and ultimately improve the quality of the new product at the level of its development and manufacturing cost. Development of CIDMM system should therefore move towards the fulfillment of product assumptions without errors and defects.
Currently, information describing the status and development process of a new product must be stored in databases with large memory taking into account the high expenditure on technical measures. Effective methods of data and information collecting and processing data play very significant role.
